It also explains how to set up an area for watercolor painting and the important characteristics of watercolors. Students will learn how to handle a watercolor brush properly, as well as how to draw with a watercolor brush. Students will also learn how to apply various types of washes and control the amount of blending that occurs between two colors. This course also describes the process for producing special effects, such as scratching, scraping, blotting, drybrushing, lifting out, scrubbing out, spattering, applying opaque paint, and masking. Finally, the student will follow step-by-step instructions for creating a watercolor painting. |
