Program description: Ashworth College's Career Diploma in Medical Transcription program is designed to teach students about basic medical procedures and terminology. Students also have the opportunity to learn about different systems of the body, medical fundamentals, oncology, dermatology, cardiology, endocrinology, urology, orthopedics, and psychiatry, among other areas of medicine. Students have the chance to listen to and transcribe case reports. Students in this program are provided with a customized lesson book, study guides, the textbook Medical Terminology with Human Anatomy, a CD ROM with audio dictations, and career search and time management guides.
