Ashford University, the highest ranking school below, will train students through its broadcasting programs to become broadcast technicians, reporters, news reporters, news anchors, etc. and set them up well for future employment. At present, there are 31,220 people employed as broadcast technicians alone in the US, and their average annual salary is $38,330. Broadcast news analysts make on average $67,990 per year and there are about 5,820 of them employed today according to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics.
