BA/Environmental Studies
The Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies prepares
students as professionals and citizens of the world for
work in environmental careers. Environmental Studies
is an interdisciplinary program that instills in students
an ability to better understand the relationships between
humans and the environments and humanity’s impact on
the different environments. Students work individually
and collaboratively to acquire the knowledge, skills,
attitudes, and motivation to seek out solutions to global
environmental issues. Through interdisciplinary study
in science, the social sciences, and the humanities,
Environmental Studies encourages students to embrace
the interconnections in knowledge and the environment
in order to understand and manage the complexities of
environmental, cultural, and socials issues that are local,
national, and global in scale.

All Gen Ed classes listed on 1st degree (AA/Buisness) 46 Gen Ed credits required for all degree's. Depending on the number of credits transferred in, you may be required to take one or both of Ashford University's® introductory courses: EXP 105 Personal Dimensions of Education and PSY 202 Adult Development and Life Assessment. If you enter the program with fewer than twenty-four (24) transferable credits, you are required to successfully complete EXP 105 as your first course, followed by PSY 202 as your second course. If you enter the program with twenty-four (24) or more transferable credits, you will be required to successfully complete PSY 202 as your first course. |

Ashford University accepts up to 90 transfer credits from a two-year, regionally accredited institution, including Associate of Arts in Science credits, toward a Bachelor's degree program. Transfer up to 99 approved credits toward your Bachelor's degree. Combine your previous coursework with up to 75 nontraditional credits to make the maximum transfer impact! # You can transfer up to 90 community college credits toward Ashford's Bachelor's programs, including AAS credits.
# Credits you've earned toward an Associate's degree at an accredited community college might apply towards Ashford University's general education requirements.
