Kaplan University will train students through its EMT programs to become emergency medical technicians, EMTs, paramedics, emergency medical service workers, etc. and set them up well for future employment. At present, there are 217,920 people employed as emergency medical technicians and paramedics alone in the US, and their average annual salary is $33,020. Medical and clinical laboratory technicians make on average $37,860 per year and there are about 152,420 of them employed today according to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics.
