Fashion Design
An education in Fashion is the study of anything that is in vogue, in style and representative of popular tastes at a given time. Fashion is characteristically associated with clothing and accessories, and Fashion Design is a dynamic and creative topic of study.
Courses in Fashion Design not only nurture and develop student’s creative skills, they also teach essential practical skills such as production techniques and material properties, to create a final product.
Students that graduate as fashion designers usually have the option of working for an established fashion house or become an independent fashion designer. As such, study course in Fashion Design often incorporate module in business and marketing.
The Fashion industry is a multi-billion dollar enterprise. Every human on the planet consumes clothing and fashion designers are the people at the cutting edge, often directing trends and greatly influencing popular culture.

| Credit Transfer Restrictions |
To have credits from another institution considered, students must show that the previous course completed is equivalent to the course they are looking to receive exemption from. Students must pay a credit transfer assessment fee for each course that prior learning credit is requested. Prior Learning/Advanced Standing credits can be granted for up to a maximum of 50% of the program. Any courses awarded such credits will have "CR" reflected on the transcript of marks. Credits awarded through advanced standing are not transferable to other learning institutions. |

Marketing and Merchandising for Fashion
This program will introduce you to the fundamental of the fashion industry, design and color theory, as well as standard software used in the industry. You'll explore the Canadian retailing industry and learn about marketing, visual displays, event promotions and merchandising. At the end of the program, you will have an impressive portfolio that showcases your skills in fashion marketing and merchandising.
