BA/Communication Studies
The Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies major
is designed for students who seek career opportunities in
many fields: public relations, human resources, business
management, communications management, education,
public policy and administration, sociology, journalism,
and the media. Communication Studies provides students
with an understanding of ethical responsibilities when
accessing information and freedom of expression in
a democratic society. Within the program, students
will examine multiple forms of communication from
persuasion and communication theory to various forms
of written communication, both business/ professional
writing and writing for media purposes.
