Bachelor of Science in Information Systems: Security Administration Concentration

The principle objective of the Bachelor of Science in Information Systems program is to teach students state of the art computer concepts. This will prepare them for programmer/analyst, database management, web development, networking, internetworking and security positions. Strayer University's Bachelor of Science in Information Systems with a Concentration in Security Administration program offers students the opportunity to get a well-rounded education in literature, humanities, history, math, and science through general education and elective courses. In addition to general studies, students can study to gain skills in system analysis and development, database management, discrete event system modeling, and the legal, ethical, and privacy issues related to computer and information security. The security administration concentration offers coursework in network and database security, internet and intranet firewall technologies, computer forensics, and disaster recover. The program completes with a security administration-related information systems project.

Credit Transfer Restrictions	Strayer University will accept transfer credit from institutions that are accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. This may include two and four year colleges and universities, business colleges, trade schools, and international universities. Credits from international institutions will be accepted if the institution is recognized as the equivalent to an accredited institution in the United States. Undergraduate 1. Strayer University will only accept transfer credit into undergraduate programs for courses in which the student received a grade of "C" (2.0 quality points) or better. 2. Strayer University will accept transfer credit into undergraduate programs for courses in which the student received a grade of “D” if the student completed a degree program at that specific college or university. 3. Strayer University will accept "P" (Pass) grades for transfer credit when the pass grade is given academic credit. Graduate 1. Strayer University will only accept transfer credit into the graduate program for courses in which the student has received a grade of "B" (3.0 quality points) or better. 2. A minimum grade point average of 2.75 is required for admission into the graduate program. If the student’s undergraduate GPA is below the 2.75 requirement, a calculation will be made of the student’s last 22 courses in the undergraduate program to determine acceptance. 3. For graduate programs, if a student's undergraduate GPA is below the 2.75 requirement or the GPA of the last 22 credits is below 2.75, the transcripts must be reviewed and approved by the Campus Dean prior to evaluation by TEC. The approved evaluation from the Campus Dean must accompany the undergraduate transcripts when they are sent to TEC for evaluation. 4. To fulfill undergraduate prerequisite requirements in Strayer University graduate programs, Strayer University will accept credit from courses in which the student has received a grade of “D”.

Bachelor's in Cybersecurity - Information Assurance

The assurance of information during transmission or while in storage and the security of critical information infrastructures are a major responsibility of government and the private sector. Securing computers and computer networks, and conducting investigations of cybercrimes and forensic analysis of digital devices are principal methods of securing cyberspace. Credit Transfer Restrictions	# Utica College seeks to offer admission to transfer students having completed the Associates in Arts, Associate in Science or Associates in Applied Science Degree who meet minimum GPA requirements specific to major. # If at the time of application a student has accumulated 30 credit hours, they will be evaluated on the basis of their college transcripts and need not submit high school transcripts unless they wish to do so. # Transfer Students will be subject to all general education requirements of Utica College as set forth in the Utica College catalogue. ♦ Students who transfer 30 credits of liberal arts and sciences (with at least 2 courses in each of UC’s three categories of Component II Core—including one lab science course) will be exempt from Component II Core. # For students who enter Utica College with a completed Associates Degree or who transfer a minimum of 57 credits from a four-year college, Components I & II of the General Educational Core requirements at Utica College will be considered complete. ♦ Transfer Students who enter Utica College with Components I & II complete will be required to complete 3 credits of Component III: Integrated Writing. # Additionally, the New York Office of Higher Education requires that a Bachelor of Arts degree must contain a minimum of 90 of the 120 credits in the liberal arts, and that a Bachelor of Science degree must contain a minimum of 60 of the 120 credits in the liberal arts. Network & Database Administrator

The demand for skilled network and database administrators continues to grow. CDI's Network and Database Administrator program teaches you the essential skills required in any network administrator job description.

Prereq Degree	The minimum requirements for admission to CDI College is a high school diploma, unless otherwise specified in the program outline. For full admissions requirements you must speak with a CDI Admissions counselor.
Credit Transfer Restrictions	To have credits from another institution considered, students must show that the previous course completed is equivalent to the course they are looking to receive exemption from. Students must pay a credit transfer assessment fee for each course that prior learning credit is requested. Prior Learning/Advanced Standing credits can be granted for up to a maximum of 50% of the program. Any courses awarded such credits will have "CR" reflected on the transcript of marks. Credits awarded through advanced standing are not transferable to other learning institutions.

A maximum of 80 DeVry credit hours may be awarded for lower-division or community college courses.
