# Utica College seeks to offer admission to transfer students having completed the Associates in Arts, Associate in Science or Associates in Applied Science Degree who meet minimum GPA requirements specific to major.
# If at the time of application a student has accumulated 30 credit hours, they will be evaluated on the basis of their college transcripts and need not submit high school transcripts unless they wish to do so.
# Transfer Students will be subject to all general education requirements of Utica College as set forth in the Utica College catalogue.
♦ Students who transfer 30 credits of liberal arts and sciences (with at least 2 courses in each of UC’s three categories of Component II Core—including one lab science course) will be exempt from Component II Core.
# For students who enter Utica College with a completed Associates Degree or who transfer a minimum of 57 credits from a four-year college, Components I & II of the General Educational Core requirements at Utica College will be considered complete.
♦ Transfer Students who enter Utica College with Components I & II complete will be required to complete 3 credits of Component III: Integrated Writing.
# Additionally, the New York Office of Higher Education requires that a Bachelor of Arts degree must contain a minimum of 90 of the 120 credits in the liberal arts, and that a Bachelor of Science degree must contain a minimum of 60 of the 120 credits in the liberal arts. This is a requirement of the State of New York which is independent of Utica College’s academic requirements and must be applied to all Bachelors Degrees.
# The last 30 credit hours granted toward the Bachelor of Art or the Bachelor Science must be earned in residence, with matriculated status.
# Utica College awards transfer credit for college level coursework taken at an accredited college, provided a grade of “C” or better has been earned and the courses are comparable to those offered at Utica College. |
