We offer nursing educational opportunities for the benefit of the people it serves, within a comprehensive system of healthcare and related services. Education is a life-long process which is enhanced by an educational climate that promotes self-direction, self-esteem, creativity and critical thinking. It is the responsibility of the faculty to promote an environment that fosters mutual respect and supports the development of self-initiated personal and professional goals. The faculty is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating the nursing program. Students retain the ultimate responsibility for learning. Upon completion of the program, the graduate is prepared to function as a safe and effective beginning practitioner of nursing in acute, intermediate, ambulatory and long-term care settings.
