Engineering Associate in a cabling department of the Bell System - specification writing for hardware application of Bell System telephone equipment into telephone company offices. This included ordering and placement of hardware for telephone operating equipment; rough drafting; working with architect plans; making cable, lighting and grounding plans; and on occasion verifying of office conditions. Specifically, I ordered cable rack, support framing for frames, frame and aisle lighting materials, and office grounding material. I worked in corporate offices in the St. Louis, MO area for 12 years and I wore a tie. I left in my own accord.
