Engineering Associate in a cabling department of the Bell System - specification writing for hardware application of Bell System telephone equipment into telephone company offices. This included ordering and placement of hardware for telephone operating equipment; rough drafting; working with architect plans; making cable, lighting and grounding plans; and on occasion verifying of office conditions. Specifically, I ordered cable rack, support framing for frames, frame and aisle lighting materials, and office grounding material. I worked in corporate offices in the St. Louis, MO area for 12 years and I wore a tie. I left in my own accord. In the ‘90’s to be congruent with having been an engineering associate I taught myself the computer programming languages BASIC and assembly language and to draw on the computer with Lotus Amidraw (object oriented drawing) and Microsoft Paint (bitmap drawing.) Similarly, in the last year I bought myself a new hp laptop computer. I make a one-page newsletter about the bicycling I do. My hobbies have been camping and sailing, and bicycling recently.

I ROUGH-DRAFTED FLOOR, CABLING, LIGHTING, AND EQUIPMENT GROUNDING PLANS TO SHOW ADDED OR CHANGED ELECTRONIC TELEPHONE OPERATING EQUIPMENT. THE MAIN PART OF MY JOB WAS TO ORDER HARDWARE DETAILS FOR THE ADDED OR CHANGED EQUIPMENT. I ORDERED SUCH HARDWARE AS EQUIPMENT FLOOR SUPPORTS FOR FLOOR-STANDING EQUIPMENT, CABLE RACK AND AUXILLARY FRAMINGF FOR ABOVE THE FRAMES, FRAMING AND ASILE LIGHTING, AND EQUIPMENT GROUNDING MATERIALS. I LEARNED PROGRAMMING LANGUAGES BASIC (BEGINNER’ S ALL-PURPOSE SYMBOLIC INTRUCTION CODE) AND ASSEMBLY LANGUAGE. TOO I LEARNED TO DRAW ON THE COMPUTER. I KNOW HOW TO DRAW WITH THE OBJECT ORIENTATED DRAWINGS OF LOTUS AMIDRAW SOFTWARE AND ALSO DRAW WITH MICROSOFT PAINT BITMAPS.
