The College of St. Thomas More, located in the uni­ver­si­ty dis­trict of Fort Worth, Texas, began as the Saint Thomas More In­sti­tute in 1981. Its founders loved books, ideas, and teach­ing and be­lieved that the great tra­di­tion of humane letters is a gift to be studied, cher­ished, and handed on from gen­er­a­tion to gen­er­a­tion. The College is ac­cred­it­ed to award a Bach­e­lor of Arts degree in liberal arts upon com­ple­tion of a unique cur­ricu­lum based on the great books, ordered ac­cord­ing to the dis­ci­plines of the­ol­o­gy, phi­los­o­phy, and lit­er­a­ture, and re­quir­ing four years of study in clas­si­cal lan­guages.
